What an easy, urban-chic, combination. Purple is a rich colour that flatters most skin tones and complements black and grey rather than jarringly contrasting against it (ever notice that bright colours against black can often look cheap?). It is also the colour for fall and spring so you will find it everywhere in many shades. To avoid looking like, well, a bruise, vary fabrics and textures within this colour palette as in the outfit above (chunky sweater, knit top, denim, and leather boots). Add silver jewelry to complete the look.
